Minnesota State Mankato to Award 2,373 Degrees at End of Spring 2024 Semester

Commencement ceremonies to be held Friday, Saturday

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato students will award 2,373 degrees to 2,133 students at the end of the 2024 spring semester. Approximately 1,750 graduating students are expected to participate in five commencement ceremonies held Friday and Saturday.

Commencement ceremonies will be held Friday at 3 p.m. for the College of Business and at 6 p.m. for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. for the College of Science, Engineering and Technology, at 12 p.m. for the College of Education and at 3 p.m. for the College of Allied Health and Nursing.

All ceremonies will be held in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena on the Minnesota State Mankato campus.

(NOTE TO EDITORS: The number of graduates does not equal the number of degrees because some students earn more than one degree.)

Advanced degrees to be awarded by Minnesota State Mankato at the conclusion of the spring semester include seven doctor of education degrees, 19 doctor of nursing practice degrees and two doctor of school psychology degrees.

Graduate degrees to be awarded include 72 master of arts degrees, 21 master of accounting degrees, three master of arts in teaching degrees, nine master of business administration degrees, 11 master of fine arts degrees, 302 master of science degrees, 15 master of social work degrees, 10 professional science master’s degrees, 17 specialist in educational leadership degrees and 62 graduate certificates.

Degrees to be awarded at the undergraduate level include 49 bachelor of arts degrees, 24 bachelor of business administration degrees, 26 bachelor of fine arts degrees, 1,449 bachelor of science degrees, 21 bachelor of science in civil engineering degrees, 20 bachelor of science in integrated engineering degrees, five bachelor of science in computer engineering degrees, eight bachelor of science in electrical engineering degrees, 31 bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degrees, 25 bachelor of science in social work degrees, 25 associate of arts degrees and 136 undergraduate certificates.

Undergraduate students receiving recognition include 381 students graduating summa cum laude (3.8 grade point average and higher), 303 students graduating magna cum laude (grade point averages of 3.6 to 3.79) and 286 students graduating cum laude (grade point averages of 3.4 to 3.59).
