Sept. 29: 'Orange Shirt Day' Recognized with Photo Opportunity, Visual Displays at Minnesota State Mankato

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is inviting the public to recognize “Orange Shirt Day: Remembering Children Lost to Boarding Schools,” which promotes the national “Every Child Matters” movement, by participating in a photo opportunity Friday, Sept. 29 at 12:30 p.m. near the fountain on the campus mall area outside Centennial Student Union.

Those interested in being in the photo are asked to wear an orange shirt to the photo session.

An informational board about the event will be set up near the fountain, and an informational showcase is on display in the Multicultural Center (Centennial Student Union 269). Sample photos of the showcase display are available on Facebook. The Minnesota State Mankato event was registered on the Orange Shirt Society website.
