Welcome… I’m your LCC Arya!

I am so excited to meet you in the fall! I will be a resource for you as you navigate through your first year of college here at Minnesota State University, Mankato!  Being involved with the RISEbio Learning Community will help you academically as well as socially, so utilize me and your peers as much as you can!

Major: Biomedical Sciences

How/what made you decide this major? I decided on this major because I love biology, specifically involving the human body. I have always wanted to work in healthcare. I am excited to continue learning and use that knowledge to help my community.

Year in School: Sophmore

Hometown: Mankato

Favorite Food: Sushi & Poke Bowls

Advice for LC Students: Be involved and try new things! You will find new interests and cultivate your old ones. College is a great place to explore and discover new interests, friends, and clubs!

Favorite thing about MSU: I love the activities and events on campus that bring people together outside of academics (and you might win something)! I also love the biology department they have amazing professors and resources!

Campus/LC Involvement: Group Exercise instructor, Pre-med Club Treasurer, RISEbio student & LCC

Favorite thing to do in Mankato: I like to go shopping and thrift downtown at the little shops. There are lots of hidden treasures in Kato if you know where to look. In the summer, hiking at the lakes and parks is a great way to spend a day.

Favorite things to do outside of school/coursework: Taekwondo, going to the gym, reading, and spending time with friends and family are my favorite ways to destress after a long school day.

Anything else we should know about you? I am super excited to meet everyone! I know it can be intimidating transitioning from college, but I promise that it is a lot of fun. Hopefully, the learning community can be a great resource for you to use.
