In 2011, we commemorate the establishment of the first national fraternity on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus. Our Chapters: Celebrating 50 Years of Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Friendship is a book intended to chronicle some of the key moments in the history of Greek Life on our campus, and with thousands of members, there are undoubtedly thousands of stories that could be shared. Months of research and interviews have allowed Ms. Ashley Portra, an MFA student in the Creative Writing program and Graduate Advisor for Greek Life, to capture memories and key moments of the Greek community’s history to be preserved in this book.
We are thrilled that this project is becoming a reality and are pleased to be able to preview its mid-2012 release. Copies of Our Chapters: Celebrating 50 Years of Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Friendship will be available for purchase for $20 (plus tax and shipping), with proceeds benefitting the Greek Community in the form of future programming or scholarships.
