Co-Chaired by Jennifer Kopischke and Catie Debates, the Concert Company committee brings popular music and comedy to campus. Each year, the Concert Company bring one major concert and many smaller shows including Live ‘N Locals and Battle of the Bands. Past performers inclide Switchfoot, the Black Eyed Peas, Counting Crowds, Live Fuel, Three Doors Down, Blues Traveler and Violent Fenimes. Meetings are every Wednesday at 5:00pm in CSU 173 (Student Activities Office)
Chaired by Rose Krohn, the Films committee brings blockbuster films to campus every weekend. The films are out of theater but not yet released to dvd/video. Past films include The Longest Yard, Harry Potter and the Goblet & Fire, Hustle & Flow, and Madagascar. Along with Hollywood blockbusters, this group brings independent, international, and documentary films to campus. The committee also plans events to go along with the movies, including trivia contests, carnivals, and panel discussions. Meetings are every Monday at 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in CSU 173 (Student Activities Office).
Chaired by Vice President Megan Gabel the Special Events committee does event planning for all of Homecoming, Frost Days, Spring Events week, and walk-by events along with other activities throughout the year. Meetings are every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. in CSU 173 (Student Activities Office).
