Strategic Goal

In an effort to create and sustain a strong and vibrant graduate community, the IMPACT programming board will in partnership with the Graduate Studies develop programming to meet the needs of graduate students. Efforts will be made to identify current programming which meets the needs of graduate students and other areas that need improvement. Once needs are identified, effort will be made to incorporate graduate student participation in IMPACT events.  In particular, efforts should be made to increase graduate student participation in Homecoming 2012.

Objectives for the focus group

1.       Find out if Graduate Students know about current programming.

2.       Determine how graduate Students learn about co-circular programming on campus.

3.       Determine what type of programs graduate students are currently seeking.

4.       Determine the current programming need/desire for graduate students.

5.       Determine what may be preventing them from attending current programming.

6.       Demographic information about the current graduate student population and how existing programs can meet there needs.

7.       Determine how can existing programs be “tweaked” to meet their needs.
