Jumpstart Corps Members and community volunteers, participate in the celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday as a promotion for child literacy. Kindergartners from throughout the Mankato area participated in the event held in Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus. The celebration uses books written by Dr. Seuss as a base for a variety of art and educational activities. This event also includesda special appearance by The Cat in the Hat himself.
