Student and community volunteers, will participate in the celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday to promote children's literacy.  Kindergartners and preschoolers from throughout the Mankato area will attend the event held in Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus.  The celebration uses books written by Dr. Seuss as the foundation for a variety of art and educational activities. This event also includes a special appearance by The Cat in the Hat himself.

                                    This is an annual event held every first Friday in March.
