All international students need to apply at the International Student Application page.
On the eApplication page, follow these steps:
To get started, establish an account for which you will create your username and password. You will receive an email confirmation of your account with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system.
Log in using your username and password created in step 1. Complete the application to Minnesota State University, Mankato. When you have completed the application click "submit."
Within 48 hours, you will receive a confirmation email that will include your Minnesota State Mankato Tech ID number and a link to pay a $20 application fee. The fee, along with all required documents such as transcripts and test scores, must be submitted for your application to be considered. (If you do not receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, call Admissions at 507-389-1822 or 800-722-0544 (ext. 1).

If you prefer to print and complete a [PDF] new entering freshman application form (151 KiB), a [PDF] transfer student application form (131 KiB) or an international student application form, please mail them to the Admissions office.
Completed applications, paper or online, must be submitted with all required materials no less than five (5) working days prior to the start of classes. Under certain circumstances the University may institute an earlier priority admission deadline.
Anyone with military experience must apply as a transfer student. Please visit the Veterans Resource Center for information about veterans' assistance on our campus.
If after applying you need to make changes to your basic information (such as phone number, address, intended major), there is no need to re-apply. Just call Admissions at 800-722-0544 and changes can be made over the phone.
