Apply to Minnesota State University, Mankato
Completed applications must be submitted, included all required material, five (5) working days prior to the start of classes. Under certain circumstances, the University may institute an earlier priority admission deadline.
Submit a MSU application or apply online
Submit a $20 non-refundable application processing fee
Request that an official high school transcript and your ACT score be sent to the Office of Admissions.
If you have earned credits at a college or university, request official transcripts from those institutions to be sent to the Office of Admissions after you have completed your last course.
To reserve on-campus housing, return housing application as soon as possible with a $250 prepayment ($200 is refundable until July 1). Contact Residential Life with questions.
If eligible, apply for scholarships which are not need-based.

  • If eligible, you will receive a scholarship application packet after you have been admitted. You may also pick up an application from your high school guidance counselor or find information for Scholarships online. Postmarked deadline is January 15 of your senior year. Contact the Office of Admissions with questions.

To apply for all types of need-based financial aid, obtain a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form from your high school counselor or apply online at FAFSA web site after January 1 of your senior year, send in your completed FAFSA. Contact the Campus Hub with questions.
