Application Checklist

All the following information and forms are required and must be provided to be considered for admission to Minnesota State University, Mankato. You can submit your documents by uploading them at the link in the confirmation e-mail you receive from the Admissions Office OR via email to intladmt@mnsu.edu OR via post to: Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Minnesota State University, Mankato, 122 Taylor Center, Mankato, MN 56001.

Application Fee: Submit your one-time $20.00 application fee. The application fee can be paid online if you have a U.S. credit card after you have submitted your application and received your student ID via e-mail OR, if you do NOT have a US credit card, please complete the [PDF] International Application Fee Form (96 KiB) and e-mail it to intladmt@mnsu.edu.

International Financial Form: Complete the [PDF] International Financial Form (71 KiB).

Bank Statements: Along with the International Financial Form, you must submit current legal bank statements or scholarship awards verifying the availability of $21,774 U.S. or the equivalent in another currency for a year at Minnesota State Mankato. The name on the bank statements must match the name of the sponsor on the Financial Form. Students should expect an approximate 3-5% cost increase in each subsequent year.

International Student Agreement: Please read, sign, and return the [PDF] International Student Agreement (56 KiB).

English Proficiency: Submit proof of English Proficiency.

Personal Statement: Please write a one-page essay in English. Describe your background, interests, purpose for studying at Minnesota State Mankato, and how this education will benefit you and your career.

Transcripts, test results, diplomas, and certificates: Provide records of every secondary and post-secondary institution you have attended. Records must be originals, or certified or notarized Photostats and must be translated into English. *Please be advised that if you do not provide documentation of ALL previous institutions attended, your admissions process could be delayed.

(Transfer Students Only) International Student Advisor Form:  Submit only if you currently have a F-1 Visa and are attending an educational institution in the United States. Have the international student advisor from your educational institution in the U.S. fill out the [PDF] International Student Advisor Form (67 KiB).
