Advice to incoming Mavericks: Don't be afraid to try something new and experience everything right when you step on campus! This gives you a good sense as to what makes you comfortable or what you would like to experience for the first time. Everything goes by way too fast, so take advantage of everything.
The most frequently played song on your iPod: Payphone by Maroon 5.
What was your first job: In high school I was a lifeguard and out of college I was a worked at a staffing agency.
What job would you have if you listened to your 6 year old self: USA Gymnast, not really a job, but a girl can dream!
The best thing about MSU is: The accessibility to resources and the amount of opportunities available.
Describe MSU in one word: Vivacious
Cookies…crunchy or soft: Soft

Advice to incoming Mavericks: Meet with your academic advisor EVERY semester! They are a wealth of knowledge and can keep you on track to graduating in four years, choosing the right major for you, selecting a reasonable course load, and making the most of your educational experience. Also, get involved and explore study abroad opportunities (when else will you have time to do something like that?). Lastly, remember every dollar you take out as a loan will need to be paid back no matter what. Borrow only what you really need for legitimate school-related expenses. I speak from experience.
The most frequently played song on your iPod: Whatever makes puts me into a good and right frame of mind for the day. Usually my favorite podcast.
What was your first job: Shopkeeper at Classic Custard in Venice, Florida.....the BEST ice cream ever!
What job would you have if you listened to your 6 year old self: A veterinarian. At age 19 I went to work for a veterinarian and learned it wasn't what I had been hoping for. I'm a big advocate for job shadowing so you get a realistic view of potential careers.
The best thing about MSU is: Highly experienced faculty and staff. There are so many people here who really, truly care about helping students achieve their goals. Many of them stay in touch with students long after they've graduated.
Describe MSU in one word: Optimus
Cookies…crunchy or soft: Neither, give me salty chips.
