Abigail Knott is a recent graduate of Minnesota State Mankato, graduating in December 2010 with a degree in K-12 Vocal Music Education. Abby grew up on a farm near Walnut Grove in southwestern Minnestoa. After a college visit, Abby knew with certainty that Minnesota State Mankato was where she wanted to attend college. Abby, a presidential scholar, was very involved with the music department and various university activities. As a junior and senior, she was elected to serve as president of the MSU Concert Choir, sang in the Chamber Singers Ensemble, and was a member of the Music Department Student Advisory Council. Also during her junior and senior years, Abby was elected to serve as an off-campus senator in the MSSA student government. Outside of various musical interests, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid runner and scap booker. She will be getting married in September to Casey Adkins of Rochester whom she met while in MSSA. Abby is currently seeking a teaching position in the Twin Cities area.
