'91 Elementary Education
Nathan Boughton earned his undergraduate degree in Education from MSU in 1991. In 1996, he earned his Masters from Sam Houston State, and in 2002 he completed is doctorial degree at the University of Houston. Nathan joined Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas in 1992. Since joining Aldine ISD, Nathan has been recognized locally and nationally as a leader in the development of innovative benefit programs designed to attract and retain employees in historically under represented populations. Nathan is an active member of the Texas Health Care Partnership. In 2006, he was invited to join the governor of Texas as a founding member of the Texas Coalition of Workplace Wellness, and in 2007, he was awarded the National Institute for Health Honorable Mention C. Everett Koop National Health Award, one of two such awards presented nationwide. In addition to working with employee benefits, Nathan is an active cultural diversity trainer and motivational presenter. In 1993, Nathan married another educator, Michelle, a graduate of Ball State University. Nathan and Michelle have three children, Christian, Andrew, and Alex. The family lives in The Woodlands, Texas and enjoy swimming, camping, and scouting together.
