'90 Business Administration: Aviation Management
Sally Clayton earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration: Aviation Management from Minnesota State Mankato in 1990. During her time at Mankato, Sally was an active member of the Aviation Club and worked as a Night Owl in McElroy. Upon graduation, Sally worked for AAA Minnesota before she relocated to Ames, Iowa. Sally joined The Daily Tribue in Ames as a distric sales coordinator. A year after relocating to Ames, she was hired as the aviation promotion coordinator for Iowa State University Press and was soon promoted to sales manager. In 2000, Iowa State University Press was acquired by Blackwell Publishing, and in 2007, Blackwell Publishing was purchased by John Wiley & Sons, Inc, where Sally currently is the Marketing and Operations Director. Sally's favorite memory from Mankato is meeting her husband, Richard Clayton. Sally and Rich have a daughter, Brooklyn. In her spare time, Sally enjoys reading, spending time with her family and attending Brooke's hockey games. Sally and her family reside in Ames, Iowa.
