Gordon Vlasak earned his undergraduate degree in Law Enforcement/Sociology from Mankato State College in 1974 and a graduate degree in Public Administration from Mankato State University in 1997. Gordon was in law enforcement for over 32 years, working in 4 different departments in Minnesota, and retiring as chief of police for the City of Savage in 2006. Gordon attended the prestigious FBI National Academy – 188th Session, located in Quantico, Virginia in 1997. He is presently employed as General Manager for ABM Industries Inc. in the Security Services Division, in the Minneapolis branch office. Gordon has been an Adjunct Instructor since 2003 for St. Mary’s University teaching Principles of Management and Business Law. During his time at Mankato, Gordon was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and continues to be in involved with the fraternity as an alumnus. Gordon's wife, Kristin Carlson Vlasak earned her MS in Elementary Education in 1990 from Minnesota State Mankato, and they have two grown children. In his spare time he enjoys their cabin in northern Minnesota, fishing, boating, and watching/attending Twins baseball games. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
