Cynthia Vlasich earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from MSU in 1978, graduating in just three years instead of the typical four. At her graduation ceremony, Cynthia also received the American Red Cross Nursing Badge for volunteer service. Cynthia's national and international career includes nearly a decade as Chief Nurse of the American Red Cross. Currently, she serves as Vice President, Professional Services and Advertising, Gannett Healthcare Group. For her work in the field of nursing, Cynthia has received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Nursing, the Federal Nursing Chief award, and in 1998, she received the Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Humanitarian Award. Cynthia and her son reside in Lisle, IL.
