Mission
The mission of the Minnesota State Mankato Alumni Association is to engage alumni, friends and students in ways that benefit its members and Minnesota State Mankato through opportunities that stimulate a lifetime of interest, loyalty and support.
Belief Statements
- We believe Minnesota State Mankato with its rich heritage is a quality university of which all can be proud
- We believe Alumni are involved with Minnesota State Mankato for different reasons.
- We believe all Alumni are valued members of the Alumni Association.
- We believe all Alumni have the potential to support the University in many ways.
- We believe fostering relationships is the primary focus of the Alumni Association.

Objectives
- By 2012, we will increase the discretionary financial resources of the Alumni Association by 300%
- We will increase the revenue from existing revenue-generating programs
- We will increase the number of viable funding Sources
- Increase the number of engaged alumni by 10% on an annual basis
- We will enhance and expand opportunities to engage alumni
- By 2010, a majority of departing students will identify themselves as members of the Alumni Association and identify opportunities for engagement
- We will promote existing events and create new opportunities for students to become familiar with the Alumni Association
- We will energize and integrate students into full support and implementation of our mission and objectives
- By 2008, the Alumni Association will have varied meaningful contact at least once a year will all constituents
- We will increase the quality of contacts with all constituents
- We will increase the number of recipients
