Albert FallensteinAl Fallenstein grew up in Mankato and began college here in 1958. The following year, he was disabled in an accident. After three years of therapy and surgery in Rochester, Fallenstein returned to Mankato State where he completed his B.S. degree in accounting in 1965. While working as an accountant in Mankato, Fallen- stein passed his examination to become a certified public accountant. He later worked as financial officer in Salt Lake City, Utah, and in Sioux City, Iowa, but returned to Minnesota to help set up a new State of Minnesota housing finance agency. Fallenstein eventually returned to his home town to become a financial officer at Carlson Craft. Today he is the Executive Vice President of Taylor Corporation, the parent company of Carlson Craft. He also set up and is chairman of Taylor Bancshares, a Multi- bank holding company consisting of five southern Minnesota banks. A member of the Courage Center Board, Fallenstein volunteers his time to help others.
