Saturday, September 30, a gathering of former faculty, staff, and students as well as members of the Mankato community gathered to recognize the preservation of history. President Emeritus Jim Nickerson, surrounded by family and friends, presented his book, Out of Chaos, to the public with recognition to those who contributed to the book and supported him in writing it. President Richard Davenport offered remarks that eloquently bridged the growth of the university from the Nickerson years and underscored the mentoring relationships our presidents have with one another.
