Denmark is the oldest island kingdom in the world and its capital, Copenhagen, bursts with life and culture, counting among its many treasures the famous Mermaid statue in the harbor and the magical Tivoli Gardens. Other cultural treasures to experience are the remarkable castles of North Zealand and the ancient settlement of Roskilde, Denmark’s ancient Viking Capital. Sweden, the largest country in the Scandinavian Peninsula, is a fascinating blend of rugged, unspoiled natural beauty, from snow-capped mountains in the north to the islands of the Baltic archipelagos around Stockholm, Sweden’s capital.
