The purpose the Collaboration Of Future Educators (COFE) is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development for those in majors that will be involved in an educational setting. This includes, but is not limited to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in: special education, general education, early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, educational administration, ESL, ELL, youth counseling, psychology, communications disorders, speech pathology, and speech communications. Anyone interested in learning more about effective educational practices for students of all ages and ability levels is welcome. The goal of the COFE is to enrich members’ professional skill sets by joining students from various departments to share their specialized knowledge and strategies, develop effective team building technique, practice IEPs, and establish professional networks.
