The College of Business Global Solutions Center will help Minnesota State Mankato bring the world to its doorstep and catapult the University into planetary problem-solving partnerships.
Housed in a new wing of Morris Hall, the Center will provide physical space for cross-disciplinary teams of faculty, staff and students. Their focus: Create
solutions to global problems such as water quality, energy consumption and health care.
The teams will come from different disciplines, united in their commitment to solving real-world problems so complex that they demand the integration of different
perspectives.
The Center will house a state-of-the-art auditorium and "solution labs" that will connect Minnesota State Mankato teams to global collaborators through leading technology. For example, "telepresence" systems can make a partner team in London so lifelike they seem to be sitting across the table from you. The Center will also empower students to tightly tie their courses to the real world through such innovations as the new experience-based curriculum of the College of Business.
