International Students are eligible for a significant reduction in non-resident undergraduate tuition rates through the Cultural Contribution Scholarship.
Reciprocity is an agreement between states affecting the tuition a student pays.
Children of Minnesota State Mankato alumni will be offered in-state tuition to attend the University, no matter where they live.
Senior Citizens are Minnesota residents that are age 62 or older.
Undergraduate students enrolled exclusively in online courses at Minnesota State Mankato for an academic term may qualify for tuition charges equal to current Minnesota Resident rate.
Talent Based Recruitment
Non-resident students who are actively recruited to attend Minnesota State Mankato on the basis of special skills, talents or abilities may be offered in-state tuition to attend the University. The Office of Admissions coordinates the granting of in-state tuition with recruiting departments (Intercollegiate Athletics, Theatre, Music, Speech, etc.).
Student fees are charged for Student Activities, Student Government, Centennial Student Union building, Technology Services, Health Services and Campus Recreation facilities.
Special Course Fees
There are additional costs for personal property or services provided to students enrolled in certain courses. Examples include music, art, theatre, aviation, nursing, human performance, mechanical engineering, and business courses. The Notes section of the course description will indicate whether a special course fee will be charged.
