Students enrolled exclusively in online courses at Minnesota State University, Mankato for an academic term can submit a request to be charged tuition at a market rate equivalent to the rate charged for on-campus Minnesota resident students.
Exceptions to the 100% Online Learner market rate tuition occur when the student is a resident of a state with a reciprocity agreement with the State of Minnesota; in those cases, the reciprocity rates supersedes the 100% Online Learner rate.
If you are a resident of Minnesota, you do not need to request the 100% Online Learner status.

you will receive the lowest tuition rates under your reciprocity agreement. Please refer to the Office of the Registrar website for information on receiving reciprocity rates.
Please do not request the 100% Online Learner status if you are a resident of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin or Manitoba.
If you are a resident of any other state not listed above and intend to enroll exclusively in online courses at Minnesota State University, Mankato, please complete and submit the following form:
I understand that I must be registered before applying for the 100% online special tuition rate, otherwise my request will be voided. Once I have registered for my classes then I can re-submit a request for the 100% online special tuition rate for approval. I also understand that it is my responsibility to check to make sure that I am registering for online courses only. If I register for a course that is not online then I will no longer qualify for the 100% online tuition rate and upon audit review will retroactively be charged the higher rate for all my classes.
