The Minnesota State University Shotokan Karate Club has been in existence since 1969. It is currently free to students and the general public, with testing for rank offered up to four times per year. Our club and all ranks are accredited worldwide with the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF). The times we meet are as follows:

Shotokan Karate Club Meeting Times:
Dates: Mondays (6pm-8pm), Tuesdays (6pm-8pm), Thursdays (6pm-8pm)
Location:  Pennington Hall 102
Cost: FREE to All!

Beginners and non-MSU students are welcome to join the club! There are no set enrollment dates so you can join at any time of the year. Please wear something comfortable if you wish to participate.

You can also take Shotokan Karate for college credit! Look for:  HP 190 Sport Act: Beginner Karate when registering for classes.

The MSU Shotokan Karate Club is sponsored by MSU Campus Recreation and MSU Student Activities. Their funding allows us to offer classes for free, and they provide use of their facilities for which we are grateful. Again, beginning students are welcome to watch or attend a class. The club is not exclusively a student organization and is open to the general public.

Upcoming events and friendly chatter are posted regularly at our Facebook Page.Thank you for your time and we hope to see you at the club!
