Completed in September of 2005, this $8.4 million renovation includes a new wood gym floor housing three basketball/volleyball courts, a new three-lane walking/jogging track and "TechRec" cardio area, a new weight room, a central check in point and equipment checkout desk, remodeled locker rooms and a student lounge. The signature purple "M" on the east end of Otto serves as an air return for the ventilation system in the facility. Otto's "TechRec" Cardio Area has recently received nationwide acclaim. Articles about MSU's new revolutionary cardio equipment has been published in Sunday newspapers across the country and on 125 media websites.
Current MSU students may use Otto Recreation Center and Highland Center Pool free with MavCard. Faculty/Staff/Spouses and Alumni may purchase an Otto Rec Center Membership (including pool) for 2009-2010 Academic Year.. Faculty/Staff will need MavCard for entry.
