The College of Arts and Humanities cultivates the appreciation and practice of forms of creative, intellectual, and cultural expression, the understanding of values and issues raised by those forms of expression, and the ability to think critically and to communicate effectively.
In order to realize its mission, the College has set the following goals:

In addition to teaching and mentoring students, the faculty of the College of Arts and Humanities are actively engaged in research projects, exhibits, performance, and publication. Faculty from all departments and programs present regularly at local, state, regional, and national conferences. Faculty in the College of Arts and Humanities have also been recognized regionally and nationally for their accomplishments and have received numerous grants, scholarships, and teaching fellowships.
Students within the College have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities sponsored by one or more departments. Both majors and non-majors may participate in any of the extra- or co-curricular activities that our departments sponsor.
