Held each October, the Career & Internship Expo at Minnesota State University, Mankato is the Career Development Center's premier Fall Career event, with the most attendees and the broadest number of colleges and majors attending. First-year students, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and alumni are strongly encouraged to attend, so please expect all levels of career preparedness and take this opportunity to connect early with young professionals!

Don't miss this opportunity to meet your future employees!

  • You will have an opportunity to visit with approximately 1,500 qualified, energetic students, and alumni of Minnesota State Mankato who are seeking full-time employment, internships, and information on hiring trends.
  • Students and alumni attending represent 140+ undergraduate programs of study and 80+ graduate programs.
  • Minnesota State Mankato candidates are motivated and committed to gaining knowledge to serve the real world.

Event Details: 
We highly encourage all students from all majors to attend both days of the fair. While all employers are welcomed to attend both days, if you are only able to attend one day of the Expo we are suggesting that those organizations most interested in Science, Engineering, Technology, & Construction majors be sure to attend the first day of the event if possible, and those organizations most interested in Business, Communications, Human Services, & Healthcare majors be sure to attend the second day of the event.

  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am: See unloading/parking information below. Visitor’s pay lot off Ellis Ave
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am: Employer check-in. CSU second floor
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am: Set up your booth in the CSU Ballroom, 2nd floor
  • 8:30 am – 10:00 am: Continental breakfast CSU 204
  • 8:30 am- 2:30 PM employer breakroom will be available CSU 204
  • 9:30 am - 2:30 pm: EXPO open to students and alumni CSU Ballroom
  • 11:30 am - 1:15 pm: Employer Lunch Buffet CSU 253
    • There will be two seating times (11:30 AM and 12:15 PM) so organizations with more than one representative can keep their booths staffed during lunch.

  • Please unload and park in the Visitor Pay Lot (students will be there to assist you). See campus map for lot location. Parking permits to get off campus without charge will be given at employer registration CSU 2nd floor.

We recommend you bring printed copies about the opportunities for you are currently recruiting.

Items to Note:

  • WiFi access will be available at no charge, no password required
  • We encourage employers to stay for the duration of the event because many students' class schedules do not allow them to attend the event until the afternoon.
  • If you are staying for two days of the EXPO you are encouraged to bring items to the Career Development Center for safe keeping. The CSU is not responsible for recycling shipping boxes or lost or stolen materials left overnight. The Ballroom will be locked at 3 PM, however, community and campus representatives may have access to the CSU overnight, as such we encourage you to keep track of your organization's valuables. 

What to Expect:

  • Over 1,500 students and alumni from all majors are expected to attend the two-day event and may visit with you to discuss employment/internship opportunities.
  • We encourage all students to attend this event, so please expect various levels of professional preparedness from our students. Some may be using this as a learning experience for the future.
  • With approximately 150 organizations expected to attend, we do our best to prepare our students for researching organizations ahead of time, but please note that it is impossible for students to research every organization. Please allow this as an opportunity for them to get to know you better.



Cancellation Policy:

  • Refunds will be issued if the cancellation is received prior to or on October 1, 2018.

 3rd Party recruiters with an existing relationship with the University will be admitted at the discretion of the event coordinator please message with questions, other 3rd party recruiters will be admitted on a space-available basis. 

This is not a recruiting event for Graduate Schools; please email Graduate School Admin Assistant with questions about options to recruit on campus.

 Standard Booth: $300:  7’ event space, access to power, free access to WiFi (no password required), 6’ table and 2 chairs, lunch tickets and parking passes for recruiters
