Student Data

Student information accessed by faculty and staff is to be used solely by that faculty or staff member and must not be sold or otherwise distributed to any entity other than specific employers who have access to mavjobs.com. Faculty and staff should be aware that the accuracy of student data found on mavjobs.com is the student's responsibility.

Employer/Job Information

Faculty and staff who access employer, job, and event information on mavjobs.com must use that information in assisting MSU students and alumni and may not use it to assist any outside entities. Faculty and staff members should be aware that the following policies are in place for employers who use mavjobs.com and for students who access employer information.

Employers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of employer information, contact name and address, as well as all information on job descriptions.

In the event that applicants miss the mavjobs.com system deadlines for application and/or interview sign-up, the applicant will be advised to contact the employer directly. The employer and applicant will determine interview status and time of interview. The employer will then contact the Recruitment Coordinator in order to have that specific interview time slot reserved.

All employers are responsible to read and adhere to Minnesota State University, Mankato's equal opportunity and affirmative action standards, or they will forfeit access to participate in Career Development Center services.

Our policy for third party recruiters' access to mavjobs.com will be that they must meet two requirements. Third-party recruiters may not charge their candidates for their services, and they must provide the name of the employer seeking candidates. Third-party recruiters will have post-only access to mavjobs.com.

Username and Password

Faculty and staff who are permitted access to mavjobs.com are responsible for the confidentiality, privacy, use, and misuse of their username and password. Usernames and passwords may not be shared with any other individuals. Faculty and staff who misuse their username and password or share it with others will have their access denied.

Revocation of Username and Password/mavjobs.com Access

Any user found to be using mavjobs.com inappropriately or inconsistent with the University and CDC mission will have their access to mavjobs.com revoked.

The Director of the Career Development Center or the appropriate designee's interpretation and implementation of the "Faculty and Staff Terms and Conditions" is final. Any exception to these terms and conditions must be negotiated between the CDC Director or the appropriate designee and the registrant.
