Each year, the Minnesota State Legislature asks that MSU gather information on the status of our graduates. Summarized responses to this survey provide current and prospective students with information useful for selecting major programs and determining job markets. A summary report is also shared with MSU faculty and posted on our website but individual responses are held in confidence. The Class of 2003-2004 (July 2003, December 2003, and May 2004) was contacted in print format, online, or by telephone with a response rate of 90%. Data is based on the total number of graduate majors (2669) rather than the number of graduate awards (2551) or the number of individuals (2527).
The numbers are in! 79% of those available for related employment obtained field related full-time or part-time positions and 10.3% continued their education for a "placement rate" of 89.3%.
