How do you land that perfect job? By having the perfect interview!

Perfect Interview™ Video Interviewing is an innovative computer program that allows you to conduct a self-directed practice interview that you can record and save. The program is loaded with over 1,500 interview questions, sample answers, helpful tips, and coaching for making your interview flawless. The Video Interview is a real interview that uses a digital webcam to record and playback your responses, giving you immediate feedback in a private and self-directed setting. You’ll learn how to answer questions on the spot quickly and effectively because it feels like you’re really in an interview!

Another feature of Video Interviewing is that your interview will be private: just you and a computer screen in a closed office, so you don’t have to worry about how you will sound if you make a mistake on an answer. Your interview can also be saved to your flash drive or a CD (free CD’s will be provided) so you can review it at your convenience. The CDC staff is also happy to set up an appointment with you to review your interview and offer more in depth feedback and pointers.

This sounds great! How do I sign up?

Pre-registration is required to participate in a Video Interview. Login to mavjobs.com to sign up for a one hour time slot. Once you are in mavjobs, click on the "Campus interviews I qualify for" link in the middle of the screen. Click on Video Interviewing in the Job Title column, select a date and time at the side of the page, then click submit. **Note: you must have a resume uploaded onto mavjobs in order to sign up for a Video Interview. If you do not currently have a resume, you may also upload a blank document.

When you come in for your interview, remember to:
  • Dress nicely (to help you feel more like you’re in a real interview)
  • Bring a flash drive if you would like to save your interview to it (the CDC will also be providing free CD’s)
