Stewart Ross, Ph.D.

Director of Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Dr. Ross

The Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning joined the MSU faculty in 1977. He served as Director of Bands for 21 years. Dr. Ross founded the Minnesota State Mankato Center for Excellence in Teaching in 2002. He is a member of Dee Fink and Associates, a small consulting company in course design for faculty at colleges and universities. In this capacity Dr. Ross has presented over 40 workshops in 20 states in just the last three years. He has published two books, over 40 articles in national magazines and 44 articles for World Book, Inc.

Linda Jacoby

Instructional Designer with Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Linda Jacoby

An Instructional Designer with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at MSU, Mankato, Linda has over 25 years of teaching experience– actively using technology in instruction and assisting faculty in incorporating web-based technologies in their teaching. Linda's training and experience in facilitation, collaboration, research and negotiation have provided leadership for numerous projects involving online learning, course conversion, technology planning, training, and strategic and action planning in both education and business. Since joining the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in August, Linda has organized and currently facilitates three faculty learning communities, including Teaching with Technology (with a Certificate option), Teaching Online, and Virtual Reality which meet monthly and provide faculty with varied opportunities to explore, learn and share technology together. Linda is also involved in several faculty course development projects and is available to meet individually with faculty upon request.

Yvonne Schmeling

Yvonne Schmelling

Yvonne Came to MSU in 1987 as a nontraditional student interested in furthering her education. Enjoyed the spectrum of students and faculty, age 16 to 60, from high school students attending with an interest in getting a head start on a college degree, to the experienced faculty knowledgeable in their fields of interest. Along with taking classes, she had the desire to work in the University setting.
In 1990 she became part of the MSU community as an Administrative Assistant working in various departments on campus, thus given the opportunity to learn a variety of jobs. She is presently working for CETL under the leadership of Dr. Stewart Ross.

 

Sushant Paudel

Graduate Assistant of Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Sushant Paudel

Graduate Assistant at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Sushant graduated from Minnesota State University in the Spring of 2006. He completed his Bachelors degree in Environmental Science with Anthropology and Geography as minors. He served as the Air Emission Coordinator with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency in Saint Paul. He has been an active member of the Nepalese community, popularly known as NeStCom, at MSU.
