The Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning joined the MSU faculty in 1977. He served as director of bands at the university for 21 years. He also serves on the Steering Committee for the MnSCU Center for Teaching and Learning and is a member of Dee Fink and Associates. He has published two books, over 40 articles in national magazines and 44 articles for World Book, Inc.

Graduate Assistant at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Sushant graduated from Minnesota State University in the Spring of 2006. He completed his Bachelors degree in Environmental Science with Anthropology and Geography as minors. He served as the Air Emission Coordinator with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency in Saint Paul. He has been an active member of the Nepalese community, popularly known as NeStCom, at MSU.
