CETL & Technology
This year, CETL was able to add instructional designer Linda Jacoby, to the teaching resources and support available to faculty at MSU, Mankato, expanding our ability to
- Offer resources and practical ideas addressing current issues faculty face in teaching with technology
- Offer personal one-on-one consultations as well as web-based help, workshops, seminars and learning communities
- Provide specific tools help to faculty interested in teaching online redesign current courses, consider new situational factors and effectively use collaborative and communication tools in an online environment
- Facilitate personal, small group and departmental idea generation, planning and implementation sessions re future uses of educational technology
- Provide assistance in creating reusable learning objects and in piloting new and explorative educational technologies
Missions & Goals
- Disseminate information on new and current educational technologies
- Facilitate faculty sharing-- ideas, solutions, and best practices in using educational technology
- Facilitate exploration, design, planning and implementation of educational technologies
- Provide support and guidance, as requested or needed, to faculty throughout the process of developing, implementing and evaluating the use and effectiveness of educational technology tools (including what, when, where, why and how to use the tools)
