Creating a Bully-Free Workplace training modules

As an integral part of the Civility Campaign, we are now introducing Creating a Bully-Free Workplace training modules. There are two modules available: one for all employees and one for all supervisors. All employees are strongly encouraged to complete the Employee version before November 15, 2013. All supervisors are strongly encouraged to complete both the Employee and Manager versions of this important training opportunity before November 15, 2013 as well.

You may access these modules via the University website.  To do so:

  1. Visit the “Desire2Learn Logon” page and, when prompted, enter your Campus Username and Password.
  2. Under “My Courses,” if you have a choice between "Teacher" and "Student," choose “Student”.
  3. Under Human Resources, click on “Bully Free Workplace – Employees” or “Bully Free Workplace – Managers”.
  4. When you come to the “News” page,  click on “Content” in that banner menu, then click on “Creating a Bully Free Workplace.”

Our organization considers workplace bullying to be unacceptable and will not tolerate it under any circumstances.  We are committed to providing a work environment free of bullying for our employees.  As part of that commitment, managers and supervisors must follow procedures to help prevent workplace bullying or immediately stop it if it exists.  All reports and incidents of workplace bullying must be taken seriously and should be immediately reported to the Human Resources department by all employees.
