Katie, It is hard for me to get into the techniques in this form. They are mainly theater and music exercises. But they key to having the kids open up is providing them with a loving, fun, and 100% supportive environment. If kids trust you, I mean REALLY trust you, then they will open themselves up to trying new things and taking chances. And it is when they take these chances that they see that they can do much more than anyone (including them) thought they could. It is a truly magical sight to behold. I hope you can see the Our Time kids in action to see this for yourself. And yes, they do report increased confidence and comfort in speaking situations that occur outside Our Time.
