The Croatian Association for People Who Stutter «Hinko Freund» is celebrating ISAD with a public viewing of «Unspeakable» by John Paskievich which will be shown in Zagreb on 22/10/2007, followed by a discussion on the film and the general awareness of stuttering. People taking part will include a Professor from the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb, a co-ordinator of a self-help group for adults and avante garde artist Tomislav Gotovac. Our plan is to have a Zagreb Stuttering Awareness Day and we have invited the Head of Health and Social Services to discuss this issue and all media have also been invited. On Friday there was a 30 minute programme on Croatian Catholic Radio dedicated to the problem of stuttering in which vice-president Mirjana Lasan took part. Our president Suzana Jelcic Jaksic was a main speaker at ISAD Conference in Brno, Czech Republic where she talked about exploring the concept of stuttering: personal and professional experiences. She also gave two workshops on treating pre - school children who stutter for Czech SLTs.
