Hi Alan, Great piece with some very sound advice! Linked to expanding comfort zones, avoiding avoidance..I have also found that humour is a fantastic way to deal with speech dysfluency. One key message I have also learned linked to stuttering and my occupation (The Challenges Associated with Dysfluency and University Life: Personal Perspective of a Mild Covert Stutterer)is that fluency does not always equate with good communication. The style over substance argument....have come across many "very fluent " people who are not able to inspire or put a message across to their students or listeners! Also feel that sometimes we beat our selves up by seeking "perfect fluency", when in fact it often does not exsist! Kind Regards, Rob
