Hi Stefanie, I think the best way to respond to your question is to recommend that you read my paper, 'STEP OUTSIDE: Why expanding comfort zoners can improve our stuttering and lead to more fulfilling lives': http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/isad6/papers/badmington6.html It deals, in far more detail, with the subject and incorporates many suggestions as to how we can challenge ourselves on a daily basis. I feel it is beneficial to initially select reasonably attainable goals - something simple like making a telephone call to enquire about train times.
