Well, I can answer briefly only to your first question. Also, check my next reply – It has a lot in respect to your questions. In my opinion for stuttering works best combination of cognitive-behavioral and deep hypnosis (but not exactly hypnosis) therapy. Actually, with these terms I am only marking the subject, so you can have idea what I mean. But ,as a matter of fact – the exact approach would not be hypnosis (because the mind falls asleep during it), but guided conscious delving in deep theta brain waves and making some changes under the therapist guidance, secondly – working in normal beta waves, still in psychotherapeutic conditions (in the cabinet), and thirdly – work in real life circumstances. And of course, parallel speech work (fluency shaping). Probably, said in this way, it is unclear, but would be long to write it all. As a matter of fact, I am preparing complex and hopefully working therapy for stuttering, which is neither hypnosis, nor cognitive-behavioral, nor combination of them both, but distinct approach.
