Thank you for the positive comment!:) In the last years – through my own research I realized that stuttering is really challenging, but nevertheless precious speech specific. It influences every and each sphere of the life of one stutterer. Several years ago I used to complain, to blame the fate, my genetic inheritance, to get into depressive states because my speech specifics. Later I realized it is like a merciless, but exceptionally wise master, leading me toward self improvement and self – actualization. It is like a grain of sand in ones mind that makes you exerts your mental abilities, self analyze, to observe your psychic processes and their relation to the social environment. Stuttering for sure makes its barer realize that there is some part of the mind that is hidden deeply within – so called unconsciousness. Ones attention toward this unconsciousness becomes vivid and persistent until the conscious mind gets deeper and deeper in the unconsciousness and increases its self awareness! One discovers his mental defend mechanisms (known by the psychoanalyses) by himself. Stuttering makes you ask yourself profound questions that otherwise you would never had the motivation and propulsion to ask! It never lets you fall asleep inwardly, always keep your consciousness vigilant and growing. Stuttering is great educator – it makes one develop his emotional intelligence in an extent unknown to the average person, it strengthens the will power and this deep inner motivation and power that is the main engine in our lives. As a bottom line I want to say – Having stuttering is an advantage! It gives one more than it takes! Be healthy! Cordial greetings: Orlin Baev, Bulgaria. Sofia.
