The author can respond to you, too, but WOW Erin!! What an exciting idea!! There is GREAT need for you in many African nations. There are many countries in Africa with NO speech therapy services at all. Many people in those countries speak English - not necessarily as a their first language, but they know the English language exceptionally well. And there are people in those countries who would also be very excited to learn from you how to become appropriate assistants/translators. I wonder, after you graduate, if there might be an opportunity to work in one of the African nations through a program like the Peace Corps to help establish yourself. Please keep your dream alive!! There would be great opportunity for you to make a difference in Africa, I believe. Judy Kuster
