My story is a long one wth a mixture of bullying, silence and being suicidal, to the success story ending with standing in front of the class and being an international speaker. For exempel, my stutter was something that was not accepted at home, and as such it was ignored and hidden. Therefor I was never taken to an SLP. Later on I went to two SLPs, of which the first abused me physically and the second one mentally. (I have met a world of fantastic SLPs afterwards, but never went back to therapy.) I did join a group of PWS who train together with Stutter Free Speech and that, mixed with NLP, Speaking Circles and last but not least, the faith and friendship of others, has decreased my stutter so that I can communicate well, despite my stutter. I hit rock bottom and just in time I met the right people who lifted me up and gave me back faith in life itself. Than I got angry and claimed my space. And I haven't stopped talking since. :-) Keep helping us talk! Anita
