I'm not a special person. But today I'm a happy person. Happy with my life and happy for who I am. Stuttering and all. The story of my youth is a long and painful one in every way. I tried to survive by being the best in class and the best daughter, I tried to be the tough one or the clown and when I finally realized I had lost myself, I became silent and felt I was in the way. Than some people crossed my path and turned me into a somebody and I finally learned to keep my head over the surface. Than someone gave me a broschure from the local group of PWS. PWS??? Are there others??? That litterally changed my life. I learned I was not the only one, that I was ok the way I was and that PWS are great people with great lives. And I have been on every chat group, on every board and a congress junkie ever since. :-) I can highly recommend it. To PWS of all ages, but also to parents, spouses, friends, SLPs researchers, teachers and to all others who have an interest in stuttering. It's a special world with the most wonderful and heart warming people ever, no matter if you stutter or not. Keep talking! Anita
