Some sections of my previous post were moved around. This one should make more sense! Sorry! Thank you for such an honest paper about the experiences you had while growing up as a person who stutters. I'm assuming you never did any class presentations to inform your peers/teachers about stuttering while growing up. How do you feel about these types of presentations? If a therapist suggested you do this, how would you have responded? Is there a certain level in the therapeutic process when this would be more appropriate? Do you think it would have affected your relationships or experiences? It seems a daunting task to ask a child to complete, although I'm sure it has potential to decrease teasing and increase understanding and empathy from schoolmates and teachers.
