Hi Kristina. Most of the things we don't talk about are "bad" things. So I believe that, if we turn stuttering into something that's just as "normal" as speaking a different dialect, or "cool" as to thing we do something not many people do, something we're the experts of, people will focus on other things. The people around me say that they don't even think of me as a PWS. They don't notice my stutter. They notice when I DON'T stutter! As the focus is off my stuttering, they see me as a person, they see my work and they admire me for doing what I do and being who I am, as they know about my struggle while doing things anyway. So yes, getting stuttering out in the open does make life easier. Never feel ashamed of something that's not your fault. And keep talking. Anita
