Hi Kristy. There was no SLP in my life during my school years, as no one told me there was any! I didn't know anything about stuttering, didn't know of anyone who stuttered and didn't know there was something called treatment. I went to two SLPs, but was unlucky enough to get two people who should never have become a SLP (something I won't get into on this forum). Today of plenty of fantastic, devoted and highly skilled SLPs doing a fantastic job. If I would have had one of them, my life would have been much easier. Keep talking. Anita
