Greetings, Maria, I found that using video/audio of myself helped me enormously. Many years ago, I was just fed up with the way I spoke and that I was unable to receive any kind of help, even the speech therapists could not offer any real assistance, then I thought, I wonder what I looked and sounded like when I spoke, it was then that I had this idea and got out my video recording gear, it was big and heavy in those days, but when I saw and heard myself speak, I thought that it sounded strange and the way I moved my head when speaking also looked "different" it was then I thought that I have got to do something about this, I then took recordings at regular intervals and this helped me to get through the difficult bits and to understand just how I sounded to other people, I then actively tried to slow down my speech and movements and by learning to breathe, pause and speak and pause again, I was able to be more understandable, although it is difficult to maintain the momentum, it has to be a concerted effort every time, no wonder some people do not want to bother!
