Hi! I just finished reading an article on temperament characteristics in children who stutter. It was found that children who stutter have a difficult time adapting to new situations, are very focused and less distracted, and are highly irregular when it comes to physiological activities. The last caught my interest because the authors of the study indicated a possible link between the irregular physiological function to the irregular speech pattern. But this article made me curious about the temperament of children who clutter. As for children who clutter, what temperamental characteristics typically manifest themselves in the child, and further are these characteristics a possible factor in what causes the cluttering or are the characteristics a result of the cluttering? Interesting… :-)
