Hello Klauss: At the conference in Ireland, I explained the lower rating of rate as follows. On the 50 items I sent to the 60 "experts" I wrote the item as "Rapid rate with intact articulation." I heard from many of the experts that the item was not worded correctly. Many suggested "rapid rate with slurred articulation. etc." On the revised (2006) PCI item 14 is worded: "Rapid rate (tachylalia)" I know rapid rate is exceedingly common, but I think my incorrect wording confused the issue.
